Scrim Net Black Single

The Scrim Net is a lighting control rag used to reduce background brightness while remaining invisible on camera. When used as a backdrop, it darkens overly bright areas such as skies, windows, or sunlit surfaces, without appearing in the frame. This makes it an essential tool for balancing exposure and creating a more cinematic image.

Performance

The single-layer scrim provides subtle light reduction while maintaining a natural look – 1/2 stop. Its open structure ensures that it blends seamlessly into the shot, avoiding visible texture or interference with the subject.

Application

Widely used in film, photography, and commercial production to manage contrast and shape light without resorting to heavy, opaque backdrops.

Notes:

• The fabric exhibits shrinkage properties.
