Egg Crate 50° is a professional-grade light control grid designed to shape and direct your light with pinpoint accuracy. This egg crate features 7.5 × 7.5 cm cells and a depth of 7.6 cm (3″), offering a precise 50° beam angle—ideal for reducing spill and enhancing contrast on set.

Whether you’re working in a studio or on location, Egg Crate 50° helps you maintain full creative control by narrowing light spread while preserving softness. Perfect for use with frames, softboxes, and other lighting setups. Each unit comes with a dedicated storage bag for easy transport and protection.

Egg Crate Mounting Instructions

Installation steps:

1. Make sure the frame is assembled squarely, with all corners at 90 degrees. The lengths of both diagonals must be equal.

2. Attach the fabric to the frame using elastic bands.

3. Secure the corners with cords – keeping an equal distance from the frame (for example, 10 cm (4″), depends of your frame size). Use a rigid template or a ruler to measure the spacing. The entire fabric should be evenly stretched and taut.

4. Next, tie down all remaining sides with cords at the same distance from the frame as the corners, again using a template or ruler for accuracy.

5. In a vertical position, check that all sides are fastened evenly.

6. Once all cords are secured, remove the elastic bands from the corners (otherwise, the bands may crease the fabric edges).
