Two-Tone Construction
This rag is sewn from two panels of muslin – blue on the top and grey on the bottom – arranged in a 2/3 to 1/3 proportion. The blue section mirrors the natural hue of the sky, while the grey recalls the tones of earth, asphalt, or concrete. Together, they provide a balanced and realistic surface for light reflection.
